so it is quoted on my new favorite food site. sprouted kitchen is the creation of a husband and wife team – she cooks, he takes the photos. but to say that he takes photos is an understatement. his photographs are stunning – and i agree with his wife, hugh is an ‘image making mastermind.’ to see more of his work, go here.
i am totally inspired by this website and can’t wait to try some of the recipes. if it tastes as good as it looks, i’m in for quite a treat.

“you are what you eat” is a series of portraits documenting the content of refrigerators in homes across america. each fridge is photographed as is. below are contrasting refrigerators – one belonging to a bartender, the other a middle school teacher (both from san antonio). i’ll let you match up.

i never understood the power of inspiration boards until my husband and i noticed how similar our apartment resembled the magazine tears of interiors that he had collected. as we have begun to dream of a getaway home in the catskills, an inspiration board might just bring it to life. i think this photograph by mark scott will be the centerpiece. cozy, warm and inviting, i’m putting it out there right now. yes, publish post.
when you’re growing out your hair, there comes a point where suddenly out of nowhere, it’s “really long”. my point happened last month and my friends and colleagues keep saying: your hair is “really long”. granted i work for a hair company, which heightens the importance of the topic. but it’s true, my hair is long and i need to find a way to keep the length in a fresh way.
i love looking at hair references and imagining what my own hair could be. often the looks aren’t realistic for me and i find myself saying, “if i we’re brave, i would do that,” or “if i had light hair, i would bleach it platinum.” i came across a photograph of daisy lowe on garance dore who’s do, i believe requires minimum courage and might just suit me. i’m going to bring it to my stylist for a professional opinion, but i think this might be just what i need. red leopord hot pants on the other hand…
