this may be my favorite kate moss look of all time – dressed in chanel couture at leah woods’ wedding. strolling hand in hand with her fur-clad daughter (the other hand holding a cig), she stole the show by arriving 10 minutes after the bride. what she lacks in etiquette, she makes up for in style.

my husband was reminiscing about tv shows he grew up watching, including that girl, starring marlo thomas. he revealed a boyhood crush on ms. thomas and i discovered a current crush on her fabulous look from the 70s. these photos were taken in her beverly hills home in 1970.

christian louboutin collaborated with barbie to create a limited edition doll. decked in a khaki mini dress, sunglasses and “forever tina” fringed boots, she comes with a collection of louboutins, each with their own shoe box and bag. although admittedly adorable, i’d rather put the $150 toward a pair of real red sole shoes.

i really want a trench. i really really want a burberry trench.

the images on art of the trench deepen my desire for one, as the subjects in the photographs wear confidence and cool as effortlessly as the jacket itself. even the children donning the iconic cloak have a look of assurance (those tots don’t know their luck). scroll through all the photographs, or filter looks by gender, color, weather – even belted.

the below images are from the sartorialist, who collaborates on the project.

i love this sweet little ditty by jill stuart. editorial fashion aside, who could actually wear this…a teeny bride in santorini? i do find it lovely though….

fergie bedazzled at the victoria’s secret show, dripping in diamonds and jeweled louboutins. i never noticed her killer legs before…i’m really feeling this look. fergalicious indeed.

isn’t there a rule that horizontal stripes are unflattering? well lo and behold, this model proves that theory is rubbish! on a serious note, this alexander wang dress is pretty darn cute. featured on fashion gone rogue.

i don’t place a huge importance on valentines day, although i do like some novelty. the heart shaped lolita sunglasses my husband gave me two years ago are prominently displayed on my jewelry box.

in the spirit of this commercialized (ahem, heartfelt) holiday, i’ll be posting related images and inspiration, leading up to the big day.

this outfit featured on lookbook.nu is perfectly sweet and suited for summertime. if only it was (summer). a simple scoop white tee and floral mini, paired with brown sandals. the strategically placed hat pulls the look together. i’m placing this girl in mexico, maybe puerto rico – which is exactly where i’d like to be right now.

every time i go to the nail salon, i face the wall of bottles and ponder a departure from my standard ‘lincoln park after dark’ or ‘you don’t know jacques’ for a bold, glittery gold. there it is, in all it’s sparkle, practically calling out my name. but i never end up choosing it for fear of looking too juvenile. but this photo from yimmy’s yayo puts a new spin on glitter, in a very grown up way.

spring/summer 2010 for 45rpm is a contrast between the ocean and mountains. according to their gorgeous lookbook, the two are more linked than one thinks. one common thread is evident – the beautiful, thoughtful design that goes into each piece. i’m posting a few photos from the collection. furthermore, the lovely, happy people modeling the clothes really shine.

a recently bought chambray shirt from madewell (or workshirt as they call it) has become one of my new favorite pieces. it’s great to wear casually with jeans or leggings, but i also like to spice it up by pairing it with a sequined mini. as i was browsing stockholm street style, i found some great examples of glamming up denim. i guess it doesn’t hurt to be drop dead gorgeous either – these chicklets could make a paper bag ravishing.
